Plugin Overview

What is an Expansion Pack?

An Expansion Pack, or EP, is an optional add-on created to extend Card Duel System with a focused new feature. It works with the cards, languages, artwork, and project information already used by Card Duel System while adding its own configuration options and runtime functionality.

Expansion Packs do not replace or include the main Card Duel System plugin. They are designed for developers who want to expand their card game while keeping everything connected to the same Studio project.

Plugin Details: Duel Log Expansion Pack

Duel Log Expansion Pack adds a complete, interactive history to every Card Duel. Players can open a dedicated full-screen timeline and review the committed actions that shaped the duel, from the opening hands through the final result.

Events are organized by turn and connected moment, making draws, placements, Fusions, Equipment, Magic, Traps, attacks, Battles, and result changes easier to follow. Players can move between turns, change the timeline order, expand related moments, and review the details behind each action.

Historical card inspection shows a card as it appeared at that exact moment, while private opponent information remains protected until it was genuinely revealed during play.

• Complete Duel Timeline: Review committed actions from the opening draw through turns, card actions, Battles, and the final duel result.

• Turn-by-Turn Navigation: Focus on one turn or combine every retained event in the All Events view.

• Connected Event Groups: Related actions are grouped into clear moments, making complex card resolutions easier to understand.

• Historical Card Inspection: Open a card snapshot that preserves its identity, artwork, statistics, position, Star Guide, active effects, and Equipment at the selected moment.

• Flexible History Order: Switch between newest-first and oldest-first timelines without losing the current selection.

• Detailed Battle Context: Review Life Point changes, Battle power, Star Guide bonuses, field changes, card movement, and other committed results.

• Flexible Controls: Supports keyboard, compatible gamepads, mouse, and touch with device-aware prompts and configurable shortcuts.

• Extensive Customization: Adjust player-facing text, colors, icons, controls, event order, animations, layout density, thumbnails, sound effects, and retention limits.

Differences between the Versions

Duel Log Expansion Pack is currently available as a Full release. There is no separate Demo version available at this time.

The Full version contains the complete duel-history experience, including turn filters, connected event groups, historical card inspection, privacy protection, customizable controls, presentation options, additional languages, and retention settings described on this page.

Full versions receive feature updates and direct support. Remember that support is always provided for the most recent available version of the plugin.

Compatibility and Documentation

This Expansion Pack requires Card Duel System v1.3.3 or newer and Card Duel Studio v1.6.3 or newer. Keep Duel Log Expansion Pack below the main plugin in the RPG Maker MZ Plugin Manager.

Duel Log can be opened during supported duel moments using its configured keyboard key, gamepad button, or pointer control. Card Duel Studio detects the installed pack and reports available updates, while the pack itself is configured through its RPG Maker MZ plugin parameters.

The plugin, its parameters, and its technical documentation are provided in English. Player-facing text includes English and Spanish defaults and can be extended for additional project languages.

Additional Information

All of our plugins are built to work in their listed compatible environment in its vanilla state: Without other plugins installed.
